Computer Crime: Alternatively referred to as cybercrime, e-crime, electronic crime, or hi-tech crime. Computer crime is an act performed by a knowledgeable computer user, sometimes referred to as a hacker that illegally browses or steals a company's or individual's private information. In some cases, this person or group of individuals may be malicious and destroy or otherwise corrupt the computer or data files.
Computer Embezzlement: As mentioned in the previous articles, embezzlement is one of the most common types of white-collar crime. Embezzlement could be as simple as a cashier's shortchanging customers here and there in the hope that no one catches on.
Embezzlement could also involve the complex manipulation of computers through what investigators and corporate financial security experts refer to as Computer Embezzlement.
