What are the types of errors in data communication?
These interferences can change the timing and shape of the signal. If the signal is carrying binary encoded data, such changes can alter the meaning of the data. These errors can be divided into two types: Single-bit error and Burst error.
There may be three types of errors:
- Single bit error. In a frame, there is only one bit, anywhere though, which is corrupt.
- Multiple bits error. Frame is received with more than one bits in corrupted state.
- Burst error. Frame contains more than1 consecutive bits corrupted.
