While efforts to address climate change, both through adaptation and mitigation, will similarly inform and define the global development agenda,a warming climate system is predicted to have an impact on many people's access to basic necessities
including freshwater,food security and energy.
There are substantial connections between
climate change and sustainable development.The least developed and underdeveloped nations,in particular,will
be among those most negatively impacted
and least equipped to deal with the expected shocks to their social,economic and environmental systems.
