What it is?
• Article 70:A person elected as a member of parliament,at an election,at which he was nominated,as a candidate by a political party,shall vacate his seat if he: a) resign from that party or
b)votes in parliament against that party, ***but shall not thereby be disqualified for subsequent election as a member of parliament.
The main object of this article
• To ensure Political Stability and Party Discipline: • When a person of a party of parliament votes against his own party member its break unity of the party and weaks the strengh of the party.
• It creates conflict between party member and destroys party discipline.
So,Article 70 ensure Political Stability and Party Discipline.
