ILO mean International labour organization. Labour statistics play an essential role in the efforts of member states to achieved decent work for all and for the ILO's support of these efforts. These statistics are needed for the development and evaluation of policies towards this goal and for assessing progress towards decent work. They are also an important tool for information and analysis, helping to increase understanding of common problems, explain actions and mobilize interest.
The main aims of the ILO are to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue on work related. The only tripartite U.N. agency, since 1919 the ILO brings together government ,employers and workers of 187 Member states to set labour standards , develop policies and devise programmes promoting decent work for all women and men.
