The Labor Rules stipulates the provisions concerning occupational health and hygiene in section 51 to 60. These provisions address the regulations on cleanliness, ventilation and temperature, dust and fume, disposal of wastes and effluents, overcrowding, lighting, drinking water, latrines and urinals, and dustbin and spittoon. 


Section 51-

Cleanliness have to be ensured.


Section 52-

Ventilation and temperature must be in a safe condition. 


Section 53-

No dust and fume there.


Section 54-

Disposal of wastes and effluents.


Section 55-

There should be artificial humidification 


Section 56-

 No overcrowding 


Section 57-

A good amount of lighting 


Section 58-

Safe drinking Water for everyone


Section 59-

Space for latrines and urinals 


Section 60-

There should be a Dust bean and Spittoon.
