The Bangladesh Labour ACt 2006,consolidates and amends the laws relating to employment of labour, relations between workers and employees.payment of wages and compensation for in juries to works and other matters related to labour.
The International Labour Organisation(ILO) works with the government,workers and employers organisation to promote decent and productive employment opportunities for woman and men in Bangladesh. Bangladesh has been an active member state of the ILO since 22 june in 1972 and has ratified 35 ILO conventions including seven fundamental convention.
