The constitution of Bangladesh has become effective on 16 December 1972 and As of 2018, the constitution has been amended 17 times.

The purpose of the Amendment is

i. Addition

ii. Alteration

iii. Substitute

iv. Repeal

And the procedure according to Article 142 bill must be drafted with a two-thirds vote and also have a long title.
