Is Linux an operating system or a kernel?

Answer: Linux is a kernel and not an operating system. The most important component of the operating system is the Kernel. since we may utilize it as a creator of an operating system with that. Therefore, we may say that we apply Linux to connect the hardware and software while building an operating system.
However, an operating system cannot function on its kernel alone; additional software and related components must also be present. GNU software makes up the majority of the software used with the Linux kernel.

Is Linux Operating System Immune to Malware?
Answer: It's a common misconception that Linux systems are virus-proof. Linux computers can get infected even if they do provide more protection against viruses than many other operating systems. Linux systems are vulnerable to malware such as viruses. It has multiple distros and environments, thus if a virus or malware affects Ubuntu, it is not venerable for Kali and other systems. So, there are various types of distro, and each distro system has its own security system and operating procedure, making it difficult to attack the system and infect it with malware or viruses.
