The independence of the judiciary in Bangladesh is enshrined in the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Article 22 of the Constitution states that the state shall ensure the separation of the judiciary from the executive organs of the state. This means that the judiciary should be free from any interference from the executive branch of government.
