This was a landmark case in defining the concept of the basic structure doctrine in India where state of Kerala try to aquiar a temple forcefully and the head of the temple kesavananda filed the case and the judgment was the no part of the Constitution, including Fundamental Rights, was beyond the Parliament’s amending power and the amendment was later suspended.
