During the Muslim period, particularly in the era of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire, the capital cities were significant administrative centers with various courts. Here are the names of some courts at the capital cities:


1. **Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience)**: This court was where the ruler would listen to the grievances and petitions of the common people.


2. **Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience)**: This was the court where the ruler held private meetings with important officials, nobles, and foreign dignitaries.


3. **Nizamat (Judicial Court)**: This court dealt with legal matters, including disputes between individuals and administering justice according to Islamic law.


4. **Majlis-e-Shura (Consultative Council)**: This was an advisory council consisting of nobles, scholars, and trusted advisors who would provide counsel to the ruler on various matters.


5. **Darbar-i-Aam (Royal Court)**: This was the general court where the ruler held audience with his courtiers, received ambassadors, and conducted ceremonial functions.


6. **Kotwal's Court**: The Kotwal was the chief police officer in medieval Indian cities. His court dealt with law enforcement, maintaining public order, and administering justice for crimes committed within the city.
