This course is designed for the students to enable them for denim fabric identification and inspection with the processing of different types of wet and dry process of garments washing, garments dyeing and tinting followed by basic concepts of different garments testes required by clients with their standards and subsequent necessary approvals for an order of ready-made garments.

    COURSE OUTCOMES (COs):

After successful completion of the course, students will be able to-

CO 1: Classify denim and differentiate between denim and jeans

CO 2: Apply 4 point system for fabric inspection prior to washing

CO 3: Describe garments washing and dyeing including functions of required machinery and chemicals

CO 4: Perform different wet and dry washes and identify various faults as well as propose some remedies for the said faults

CO 5: Identify differently dyed and tinted garments and describe dyeing machines, procedure by the curve.
