    • COURSE INSTRUCTIONS:

      • This course is of 1 credit hour so one class (2 hours) per week
      • DIU BLC will be the only platform beside regular classes
      • Every student must be enrolled in DIU BLC
      • There are 11 experiments, students have to submit lab reports for each experiment
      • Lab reports must be submitted on the lab performance day/just after next week of lab day
      • Besides final examination; the course will be evaluated based on class participation, lab report, lab performance/viva voce, interaction in the forum based on lab experiment which will  be evaluated as a bonus mark
      • The course will be delivered based on the course outline, so students are requested to follow it

    • Course Rationale: The course is designed to enable the students to perform different types of wet and dry process of garments washing, garments dyeing by using different types of required machines and tools with their study of different parts and functioning.

      Course Outcomes (COs):  After successful completion of the course, students will be able to-

      • Identify and differentiate among different types of commercial denim fabric.
      • Make a lay out plan of a garments washing plant.
      • Identify and describe required machineries, tools, equipments, chemicals, auxiliaries for garments washing and dyeing.
      • Identify different parts with functions of machineries and tools required for garments washing.
      • Operate machineries and tools used in garments washing.
      • Perform different wet and dry processes of garments washing.
      • Identify different effects produced by different wet and dry processes.
