Acknowledgement letter is document used by businesses to formally acknowledge the receipt of something, for example, an invoice, that can be used as a courtesy, for record keeping, or to raise an issue whatever with service was received. 

Announcement letter is a letter written to let others know about a certain event or happening beforehand which concerns them. Any consideration that people need to be aware of, goes in the announcement letter.
