Introduction:

Taking into account of the success and achievement of them ediation in the Pilot Family Court project initiated in 2000-

2001, the government of the day was committed to bringn ecessary changes into the Code of Civil Procedure and also in

the Money Loan Court Act, 2003 (Artharin Adalat Ain, 2003) sot hat alternative dispute resolution mechanism may be introduced into the filed of general civil litigation as well as in suits for money loan recovery. In the Money Loan Court Act, 2003 chapterprovides for Alternative Dispute Resolution process. In addition section 38 and 44A provide for mediation at the stages ofe xecution and appeal/revision respectively.
