Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 mentioned about the temporary order in the case of nuisance or apprehended danger. This section deals with emergent situation, protect human life, health or safety, disturbance of public peace, riot or affray. Section 145 states about dispute regarding land or water which perhaps cause breach of peace. In the case of both two sections, District Magistrate and Executive Magistrate have power to impose.
