Detention
means to confine someone in a prison under the penalty imposed by a
court and also known as imprisonment. It can be either for life time or
for a certain period. In our country imprisonment is either rigorous or
simple but a life time imprisonment is always rigorous. Recent research
by the USA Bureau of Justice Statistics shows that more than half of all
inmates have mental health issues. In fact, around 1.25 million
prisoners suffer from mental illness and as a result the psychology of
minor/petty criminals can be greatly influenced by them.
