Bangladesh is more vulnerable to growing cyber-crimes given the poor knowledge and lack of the government effort to counter the threat. The government’s sensitive data can any time be stolen, disclosed or destroyed. This is supported by the fact that the country has already witnessed some high-profile cyber security breaches over the last few years. For instance, in 2012 websites of 26 governmental organizations were hacked and in 2013 a private university’s website was attacked. Again, in 2014 bank accounts of a private back were manipulated and money was withdrawn while the websites of Bangladesh police and Rapid Action Battalion were hacked in the same year
