Children: The most sensitive segment of any society.

•One important way in which the children's special rights and status are maintained is through establishing a separate juvenile justice system. Unlike the justice system for adults, its aim is not the punishment of offenders. Rather it aims at reforming the juvenile delinquents.

•An important feature of a proper juvenile justice system: Separate detention mechanism for children and juvenile; distancing them from the contact of adult prisoners.
