1. Zero tolerance against corruption
2. Increasing skills for fighting against corruption
3. Adopting Code of Conduct
4. Incentives (salary and benefits must be made consistent with cost of living to prevent ‘need driven corruption’)
5. Establishing Rule of Law
6. Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight of Ministries and Departments
7. Ensuring Independence and Effectiveness of the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC)
8. Increasing the Roles of Civil Society
9. Increasing the Role of different media etc.
In order to maintain its growth history of reputation, Bangladesh is a matter of great concern needs to reduce white collar crimes (especially corruption) in government and private sectors. The government must improve governance and take strict action against the offenders, and prevention, investigation, detection and prosecution of economic crime must become priority.
