  Course Summary:
  This is an introductory course which covers basic theories and techniques of communication engineering. In this course, the students will study the fundamental concepts of basic communication system, impact of noise in communication system, various types of analog and digital modulation techniques, analog to digital conversion and data communication techniques.
  Course Objectives:
  To introduce with general communication system.
  To introduce with information source, transmitter, transmission medium, receiver.
  To study noise, interference.
  To study channel capacity.
  To study amplitude modulation.
  To study different types of side bands.
  To study of frequency modulation and phase modulation.
  To study sampling.
  To study analog to digital conversion.
  To study digital modulation technique.
  Course Outcome (COs):
  1. Familiarization with different communication system (Analog, digital, wireless).
  2. Illustration of the factors affecting the channel capacity.
  3. Demonstration of different modulation techniques and their practical use in communication system.
  4. Familiarization with digital communication system and digital modulation technique.
