Conversion between RGB and CMY:

- Convert white from (1, 1, 1) in RGB to (0, 0, 0) in CMY.

$\left[ \begin{array} {c}C\ M\ Y\end{array} \right] = \left[ \begin{array} {c... ...\ 1\end{array} \right] - \left[ \begin{array} {c}R\ G\ B\end{array} \right] $

$\left[ \begin{array} {c}R\ G\ B\end{array} \right] = \left[ \begin{array} {c... ...\ 1\end{array} \right] - \left[ \begin{array} {c}C\ M\ Y\end{array} \right] $ Sometimes an alternative CMYK model (K stands for Black) is used in colour printing (e.g., to produce darker black than simply mixing CMY).

RGB method of counting total number of pixel :

It is very simple. Since RGB image contains three planes corresponding to Red, Green, and Blue and each planes having same number of rows and columns. ... Same will be for Green and Blue plane. So the total number of pixels will three times number of pixels in any plane.

Computer Graphics is the use of Computers to display and manipulate information in graphical or pictorial form, either on a visual-display unit or via a printer or a plotter.

Now-a-days Computer Graphics is used in almost every sector. For example: Computer-aided design, Computer simulation, Design, Digital art, Education, Graphic design,  Information visualization, Scientific visualization, Special Effects for cinema, Video Games, Virtual reality, Web design etc.

A display device is a device for the presentation of information, such as images or text (visual form). Display systems are mostly called a video monitor or Video display unit (VDU).

Display devices are designed to model, view, or display information. The purpose of display technology is to simplify information sharing.

Some display devices are:

  • Cathode-Ray Tube(CRT)
  • Liquid crystal display(LCD)
  • Plasma Display

Computer Graphics: is the use of computers to display and manipulate information in graphical or pictorial form, either on a visual display unit or via a printer or a plotter.

The necessity of Computer Graphics: Using computer graphics, we can likewise control the animation speed, visualization can be either 2-D or 3-D, part of the view, the geometric relationship the object, the measure of detail shown, and on.

It gives tools to creating motion pictures, music videos, and television shows, solid genuine objects as well as of theoretical, engineered objects, for example, a numerical surface in 4D and of information that have no inalienable geometry, for example, survey results.

What is computer graphics?

Answer: Computer graphics is an art of drawing pictures on computer screens with the help of programming. It involves computations, creation, and manipulation of data.

Why computer graphics used?

Answer: Suppose a shoe manufacturing company want to show the sale of shoes for five years. For this vast amount of information is to store. So a lot of time and memory will be needed. This method will be tough to understand by a common man. In this situation graphics is a better alternative. Graphics tools are charts and graphs. Using graphs, data can be represented in pictorial form. A picture can be understood easily just with a single look.

Interactive computer graphics work using the concept of two-way communication between computer users. The computer will receive signals from the input device, and the picture is modified accordingly. Picture will be changed quickly when we apply command.

How computer graphics used?

Answer:

      i.    Art − Computers provide a new medium for artists.

ii.   Business presentation graphics − "A picture is worth a thousand words".

      iii.  Cartography − Drawing maps.

  1. Weather Maps − Real-time mapping, symbolic representations.
  2. Satellite Imaging − Geodesic images.
  3. Photo Enhancement − Sharpening blurred photos.
  4. Medical imaging − MRIs, CAT scans, etc. - Non-invasive internal examination.
  5. Engineering drawings − mechanical, electrical, civil, etc. - Replacing the blueprints of the past.
  6. Typography − The use of character images in publishing - replacing the hard type of the past.
  7. Architecture − Construction plans, exterior sketches - replacing the blueprints and hand drawings of the past.
  8. Training − Flight simulators, computer aided instruction, etc.
  9. Entertainment − Movies and games.
  10. Simulation and modeling − Replacing physical modeling and enactments.

Uses of Graphics Display Devices?

Answer:

a)    Random Scan and Raster Scan

b)    Plasma Display

c)     Refresh Cathode Ray Tube

d)    Color CRT Monitors

e)    Direct View Storage Tubes

f)      Flat Panel Display

g)    3D Display

h)    Liquid Crystal Display(LCD)

i)      Light Emitting Diode(LED)

j)      Lookup Table

What is CG(computer graphics): Computer is branch of computer science that deals with generating images with the aid of computers.

Why and How:COmputer graphics is the use of computers to display and manipulate information  in graphical or pictorial form either on a visual display unit or plotter.since computer and it's components are used to create the graphis this is called computer graphics

Graphics Display Devices & Uses: In the field of CG there are various types of display devices but they can be  classified into 2 main groups they are following :

1)CRT(Cathode Ray Tube): CRT are of 3 types based on refresh rate for image production 1) Raster scan                                                                    2) Random  scan 3)Direct view storage tubes

2)Flat-panel Displays: These types of displays are slick and flat in dimension according to their light emission principles they are classified into 2 types

1)Emissive Display: This type is classified into 3 subgroups they are the following:

                                                             1)LED (Light Emitting Diode)

                                                              2)Plasma

                                                               3)Thin-Film Electroluminescent

2)Non-Emissive Display: LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is the only candidate in this category.

basically , these are the main display types , they are used according to their advantages and disadvantages for a specific application.Like:

*)CRT displays are the earliest of them basically they are used where low refresh rate is used they can run at any resolution and look great they don't create a very sharp image so,they are not used nowadays

*)LED displays are one of the most used displays nowadays since it has a low power consumption and a long life span this is suited for the applications that need these qualities .but it is relatively expensive and  Contrast ratios not consistent.

*)LCD is the most used and popular display  panel since it is cheaper than others and has a good contrast ratio and low power consumption it is used almost everywhere from Pc monitors to digital watches but it has low viewing angle and needs a LED or some other type of light source to work

*)Plasma is so expensive and has very high power consumption and emits high-intensity IR rays  and due to altitude change and atp quality varies so they are only suited for home TV screens. but they has very good color and contrast

*)Thin-Film Electroluminescent are only used in small devices
